So Peaceful

Adelyn continues to amaze us with her easy-going spirit. While she's developed a wail in the last week or so, she uses it sparingly (usually when she's hungry or wet). Otherwise, she's happy just to be included, and her smiles are enough to melt your heart!

Entirely Too Cute

When Courtney was in Boston, I took several pictures on my iPhone to keep her updated on what the kids and I were doing. I just figured out how to get pictures from my phone to my laptop, and I thought I'd share this treasure!

A Visit From the Blimp

A few weeks ago, the Goodyear Blimp was in town for a race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We happened to be eating outdoors at our neighbors' house (Thanks for the pictures Zach & Trinity!) when the blimp flew over our neighborhood. All of us were amazed at the sight - and the SOUND - of the blimp. Abel especially enjoyed seeing something other than a bird or a plane flying overhead.

Kisses!

Abel LOVES to give kisses. He is starting to cuddle more, hug more, and just be more affectionate. He likes to touch noses, touch cheeks, touch ears, touch eyes, touch eyelashes, touch fingers...and give kisses. Ryan took a series of pictures where he was grabbing my face trying to plant one on me- and this was the cutest one!

Those eyes!

They are just so gorgeous! They are a beautiful brown and I swear they might be getting bigger! She is the sweetest baby...as of today, she really only cries when she's hungry or needs a diaper change...other than that, she's a very happy baby...and this picture was just too irresistible not to post!

Addy and Abel (the fish)

We took Abel and Adelyn to the fair last week. We stayed away from most of the tempting games on the midway, but decided to purchase 20 ping-pong balls to throw into little goldfish bowls to win goldfish. Ryan and I each made a shot thereby making us winners of two goldfish. When we got home, Ryan said, "Abel, what do you want to name your fish?" Abel said, "Addy." Then Ryan said, "What do you want to name your other fish?" Abel replied, "Abel." So, here is a shot of our two fish, Addy and Abel. It's a week later, and they are no longer with us. :)

So You Think You Can Dance!

So You Think You Can Dance has been a summer reality show staple at our house for the past few summers. Typically, Abel is in bed when it's on. Last week, I was in Boston and missed it, so I had it on trying to catch up. Abel was completely enthralled. He sat on the couch, watched, tapped his toes...until he could handle it no longer. He jumped up on the ottoman and began dancing himself. He twirled in circles, bounced his legs, and had a blast!
