When Abel was a tiny one, we didn't take any pictures of him in the bath tub. We thought it was kind of creepy...but we simply couldn't resist with Adelyn. She can be wailing away with the ultimate crying fit...I'll put her in the tub and she immediately calms down and smiles. She LOVES the bathtub! I had Ryan take these pictures tonight because she was just too cute...and he worked very hard to make them appropriate pictures!

Bath time!

New Foods for Abel!
Henry and Hannah!
Abel continues to love his cousins. He was very excited when they all came over to play. They played on the swing set in the backyard (Henry was especially helpful in getting Abel to go down the slide after he "took a tumble" and bit his tongue the day before). They sat at Grandma Peggy and Grandpa Dave's and colored together (I LOVE the shot of Abel sitting at the table and Henry and Hannah sitting at the counter), and they all climbed on the fence to welcome Grandpa Dave home. He toddles around to try to keep up with those two while Harper is still taking it all in! Cousins really are the best!
Adelyn Smiles!
Swimming at Rivi!
My parents belong to the same pool I went to when I was a little kid. We've been a couple of times and Abel loves the baby pool. He plays with the toys, in the fountains, and likes to go down the slide. Last weekend we were there and it started pouring down rain. It didn't phase him a bit as he just kept playing in the fountains! Once we had to get out due to thunder, he took one of the cushy footballs on the deck and started saying, "One, two, three hike!" and passing it off to one of us. He is getting more verbal (and therefore much funnier) each day!
Sweet Adelyn Lee Updates!
I swear she's much older than she is. It's not like I'm thinking, "Oh she's growing so fast..." I just swear things are happening much sooner than they did with Abel...and yes, I know this will be one of the first times I realize I shouldn't compare the two! She is a cuddler for sure. She loves to just nuzzle and be held...but she likes to be hold in very specific ways and she lets you know what they are! She's growing quickly, using her neck muscles a lot, and her arms and legs are in constant motion. Abel calls her Addy Lee (we are working on getting him to say her full name) or Baby Girl, and he continues to love her too. We are really having a blast with Sweet Adelyn Lee!

HELLO AGAIN!
We have LOTS of new posts! We are slowly getting settled in Indy, but I'm feeling pretty convinced we are going to have boxes around us for some time. Most importantly, the kitchen and kids' bedrooms are unpacked! Anyway, there are TONS of new posts, so make sure you scroll down and click on old posts!
Silent Protest Part II
Happy Fourth of July! We decided we would continue our silent protest while it was still necessary...and had to work hard to find the shirts this year. The place we got Abel's shirt last year at the Farmer's Market in Madison wasn't there this year when we went. SO, Plan B included a shopping trip on cafepress.com (we highly recommend this website!). The smallest shirt we could find for Adelyn was 6 months...but we feel it's still effective! As I was taking Abel's picture I realized that last year on the 4th, Abel wasn't even crawling, yet alone standing on his own, and we only had one kid! My how things change in a year...forget the fact we've moved and are both starting new jobs! WOW! The photo shoot went quite well...until Abel decided he'd had enough and knocked Adelyn over....we reminded him it was a PEACEFUL silent protest!
Anyway, Happy 4th everyone and may November FINALLY bring a significant change to the White House!
New Table!
I have been ridiculously excited to get Abel a table that we could set up in our new house, and he would have his own personal space to color and do projects at...that he would soon share with Adelyn. He was very excited when he first worked at his table, but sitting in the chair only lasted about 5 minutes. He's much more comfortable sitting on top of the table. Hopefully, that won't last too long!

Double Diaper Change
We had to stay at my parents' house over the weekend before the movers came on Monday. Their dining room table turned into a changing station for us (we put down lots of blankets!) One morning, both of the kids woke up at the same time and diaper changes were needed immediately. Ryan did Abel's, I did Adelyn's. When we were done, we laughed at the situation and realized that this was going to be our new life! Luckily, Abel is started to be very interested in the "Big Boy Potty."
Moving Day!
On June 24, we said goodbye to Madison. My mom came up to drive back down with me and the kids while Ryan stayed to meet the movers. We snapped the family photo right before we left and then piled in the car to head out. Abel and Adelyn were soooo good in the car. We had to stop twice for about an hour to feed everyone, but in all, the drive was great. Abel took his nap as we drove through Indiana...this picture was too funny!
Great Big POD!
The day our POD arrived before we moved was a big day for Abel. Two of Abel's favorite things happened at the same time. He got to stare out our big picture window for an extended period of time (I swear we spent hours looking out the window and talking about what we saw!) AND a truck was just feet away! Abel kept saying, "Great big POD!"
Mallard's Game!
The weekend before we moved, we went to Abel's first baseball game. The Northwoods has a college league made up of several teams throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. Going to Mallard's baseball games has been one of our absolute favorite things to do! It was a blast taking Abel to his first game. There was so much stimulation, it was ridiculous. He really had a hard time sitting still. By far, the highlight for him was Millie Duck (one of the mascots). There is actually Millie and Maynard. They walk around and motivate the fans throughout the game. That was just too much for Abel to handle. He kept yelling, "TWO Millie Ducks!" Everywhere he went, there was some sort of a MIllie Duck. A huge blow-up Millie Duck, painted on the wall, the actual mascot....he loved Millie Duck! He's still talking (and dreaming...we know about the dreams because he talks in his sleep) about her!
Adelyn's First Party
Our very dear friends Courtney and Matt got married on June 7 and had their reception on June 14. The night before the reception there was a party at a friend's house for family and close friends. The whole family was invited, but we decided to just take Adelyn while Abel played with Bonnie. These are some shots of her in her party dress. My cousin, Christiane, got this dress for her when we found out we were having a girl. She looks SO SWEET in it!
